Sending messages to other Birch Integrated Voicemail Users

Your main mailbox can send messages to other Birch Integrated Voicemail customers (within your company and to other businesses). Extension mailboxes can send messages to other extensions within their mailbox and to the main mailbox.

You can send messages using PhoneManager:

Sending messages

To send a message to another Birch
Integrated Voicemail user:

1. From the main menu, press 2.
2. Record your message and press # when finished.
To send your message now, press #.
To review your message, press 1.
To delete and re-record your message, press 7.
3. Enter the destination phone number.
NOTE: if you are sending a message to an extension or group list, enter just the extension or group list number.
4. Press 5 to enter delivery options, if applicable (refer to Delivery Options to the right).
5. Press # to send the message.
 

Delivery options

You can send the same message to different people with different delivery options. Before you press # to send, press the following key to turn the delivery option on or off.

1. Private - receiver cannot forward message or receive as an Email Alert.
2. Urgent – moves to the front of message queue.
3. Mark anonymous – the sender’s name and phone number will not be available when the message is played or sent to email.
4. Notification of receipt – confirmation goes back to sender once message has been retrieved.
5. Notification of non-receipt – allows sender to know if a message has not been picked up within a specified time period.
6. Future delivery – allows the sender to record a message to be delivered later.
