Our step-by-step voicemail setup tutorials explain how to set up your voicemail to receive and send messages and configure your Email Alert. Email Alert is free with every Birch Integrated Voicemail account and forwards your voicemails and faxes to your current email.

Quickstart set up for your voicemail
It takes just a few minutes to set up your voicemail:

    1. Dial your voicemail access number, 1-866-303-0529 from your main office telephone number.
    2. This will connect you PhoneManager, your telephone interface for voicemail. When asked, enter
    your temporary password, which is 1+ the last three digits of your main office telephone number.
    3. Change your temporary password when prompted.
    4. Follow the voice prompts to record your name and personalized greeting.
      You are now ready to use your voicemail.

You can check your messages anytime, from anywhere, by following these steps:

    1. Call your own phone number and let it ring to your voicemail.
    2. When your greeting begins playing, interrupt it by pressing the * key.
    3. Enter your password when prompted.
      You are now ready to hear your voice messages.

Set up your Email Alert
Email Alert forwards voicemails and faxes to your current email program. Voicemail will apppear as a .wav attachment that will be played by your computer’s default media player. Faxes will appear as .tif attachment that can be viewed by your computer’s default picture viewer.

If you have Outlook or Outlook Express, we highly recommend using the AutoSetup tool that will automatically setup your email in less than a minute.

Before you setup Email Alerts you must dial into your PhoneManager and change your temporary password to your personal password.
